Timothy Gaewsky earned an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BFA from The Cleveland Institute of Art. He has exhibited both nationally and abroad including at the Ella Sharp Museum (Jackson, MI), Toledo Museum of Art (Toledo, OH), AC Institute (New York, NY), and Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art (Rotterdam, NL). Gaewsky's work has been highlighted in exhibition reviews from Hyperallergic, the Columbus Dispatch, the Toledo Blade, and the Akron Beacon Journal. His work has also appeared in art and literary publications such as DIALOGIST and featured on Young Space (yngspc.com). Gaewsky is the recipient of two Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award fellowships for 2015 and 2021. He was a 2020 Artist-in-Residence at Akron Soul Train. Gaewsky is Co-Founder and member of Hinge Artist Collective, a curated international artist collective formed in 2021. Gaewsky currently lives and works in Cleveland, OH.
