I collected police blotter reports from around the greater Cleveland area that were incidences of domestic violence in which a common household object was used as a weapon. A typed copy of the police blotter report was displayed along with a similar object from the report collected from my home.

An example of a report:

An 18-year-old was charged with domestic violence after an argument with his parents turned violent. Police say they were called to the home Friday after the teen struck his father in the head with a telephone, causing a severe cut. The teen told police he had also spit at his mother and shoved her. He was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic violence.
