Creak Show, 2005

This performance piece consisted of X's that marked out every point on the gallery floor that made a creak or squeak when a person walked on it. During the opening of the exhibition, I asked everyone in attendance to choose an 'X' or two and to be quiet as everyone stepped, jumped or danced on their mark, making the gallery/house sing. An audio recording of the preformance was taken from the basement and later played throughout the remainder of the opening.
